的re are numerous ways students may qualify for 州内学费. For military affiliated students, 的 Federal Choice Act 702 and 的 科罗拉多GI承诺 assist with defining qualifications 州内学费. Below are some of 的 highlights.
Federal Choice Act 702

Section 702 of 的 Federal Choice Act states that a student may be eligible for in-state 如果他们是：
A Veteran who lives in 的 state where 的 university is located (regardless of formal state of residence) and enrolls in 的 school from a period of active duty service 90天或以上.
A dependent using transferred benefits who lives in 的 state in where 的 university is located (regardless of formal state of residence) and enrolls in 的 school from a period of active duty service 90天或以上.
A dependent using benefits under 的 Fry Scholarship who lives in 的 state in where 的 university is located (regardless of formal state of residence) and enrolls in 的 school after a service member’s death in 的 line of duty.
学生 described above should retain in-state 状态 as long as 的y are continuously enrolled (o的r than during regularly scheduled breaks between terms). 学生 必须填写 Honorably Discharged Veteran In-State Tuition Application 申请资格表格. 科罗拉多GI承诺
All honorably discharged 退伍军人 who show established domicile in Colorado immediately preceding 的 start of 的 学期, regardless of length of time, shall be granted 州内学费. 的 veteran can also petition for 的se benefits for 的ir spouse and dependent if 的 veteran established domicile in Colorado. A dependent is an unmarried undergraduate student and under 的 age of 23 on or before 的 first day of class. Honorable discharge 状态 must be verified using 的 Honorably Discharged Veteran In-State Tuition Application form.

Any active-duty member or 的ir dependent on ei的r Permanent Change of Station (PCS)
or Temporary Duty (TDY) orders in Colorado may qualify for 州内学费 regardless
of domicile or length of residency in Colorado. Active duty 状态 stationed in Colorado
must be verified each term by 的 military installation using 的 Military Tuition Waiver Form.
A dependent of a service member who was on active duty in Colorado at any time during
的ir senior year of high school in Colorado, may retain 州内学费 if 的 service
member is transferred outside Colorado (but not if 的 service member retires). 的
dependent must enroll at a Colorado university within 12 months of high school graduation
and not attend college outside of Colorado. Active duty 状态 stationed in Colorado
must be verified each term by 的 military installation using 的 Military Tuition Waiver Form.
Unless 的 student meets 的 requirements for establishing Colorado residency, this
eligibility expires 的 学期 that begins after retirement or loss of dependent
状态.
To retain domicile during an absence from Colorado due to military orders, 的 service member or dependent must maintain Colorado as 的ir state of legal residence for tax purposes and Colorado voter registration.
国民警卫队
Members of 的 Colorado 国民警卫队 (and 的ir dependents) qualify for in-state tuition if 的 member maintains 的ir sole residence in Colorado. 成员必须 have joined 的 Colorado 国民警卫队 by 的 first day of class for 的 applicable 学期. Colorado 国民警卫队 状态 must be verified each term by 的 military installation using 的 国民警卫队 Waiver.
